For centuries, wise people from a wide array of faith traditions have seen FEAR as a rival of LOVE. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “The old remedy for fear was great armaments. But how futile. It is only love that will solve the problem.” Yet, love is not necessarily the first instinctual reaction.

“The opposite of love is fear, not hate.” Yoko Ono said. Fear is an essential primal behavior bent on survival that occurs in our modern world in unexpected ways. Deep in our genetic programming we have the algorithm to trigger fear without notice.
